The Creative Brisbane Awards are presented by South Bank Corporation and proudly supported by Brisbane City Council.
1. Best philanthropic or fundraising collaboration
This award recognises collaborations between a philanthropic or fundraising individual or organisation and one or more creatives that resulted in a beneficial outcome for any of the broader community, the city/region, the creative/s and/or the philanthropic partner/s. As examples only, beneficial outcomes could include a physical work (visual or performance art), improved career pathway/opportunities for the creative, strategic or business planning to benefit the creative, or contributions to environmentally sustainable practice. Judges will look for collaborations that demonstrate philanthropy in action, ie a tangible outcome.

2. Most innovative collaboration (Sponsored by BCM Group)
This award recognises innovative collaborations between an individual or organisation (including universities) and one or more creatives that resulted in a beneficial outcome for any of the broader community, the city/region, the creative/s and/or collaboration partner/s. As examples only, innovation (ie a new idea or method, or the use of new ideas and methods) may include the use of technology, multi-media platforms, processes and/or contributions to environmentally sustainable practice. Judges will look for collaborations where innovation is a clearly identified element of success.

Judges will look for evidence of the development and implementation of strategic activity (planning and processes) that contribute to commercial and/or professional/practice sustainability for the creative/s and will consider collaborations from across the creative spectrum, including but not limited to visual and performance art, research and design.

This award recognises public art or activity collaborations between an individual or organisation and one or more creatives that resulted in a beneficial outcome for the broader community or the city/region. Judges will look for collaborations where art contributes to an improved urban/city experience for the community, including contributions to environmentally sustainability practice. Purely commercial commissions are eligible to enter this award.

This award recognises collaborations between a media organisation or individual - including news reporting, marketing, advertising and/or public relations campaigns - and one or more creatives that resulted in a beneficial outcome for any of the broader community, the city/region and/or the creative/s. Judges will look for collaborations where the use of traditional news media (print, broadcast and digital) and/or social media raises the profile of art and creativity in the broader community. Estimates of earned media value would be welcome. Eligible entries may include sponsorships, partnerships and/or purely commercial transactions.

Judges will look for collaborations that are First Nations-led and contribute to increasing awareness through sharing and celebrating First Nations stories and culture. For this award, the collaboration must include at least one Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander creative (individual or majority-controlled organisation) - to be confirmed in the award entry.

This award recognises collaborations between an individual or organisation and one or more creatives with disability or who are d/Deaf that resulted in a beneficial outcome for any of the broader community, the city/region, the creative/s and/or the collaboration partner/s. Judges will consider visual and performance art activities and will look for collaborations that are led by creatives with disability or who are d/Deaf, and that enable improved career pathways for the creative/s and/or promote the disability arts community. Purely commercial commissions are eligible to enter this award.
For this award, the collaboration must include at least one d/Deaf creative or creative with disability* - to be confirmed in the award entry. Judges will look for collaborations that are youth-led and support future career pathways and/or further education pathways for the creative/s.
‘Youth’ is defined as aged 16 - 24 inclusive.

10. The City of Brisbane Award for outstanding creative contribution
A peak award to acknowledge an outstanding contribution by an individual or organisation to Brisbane’s creative sector. Nominations for this award shall be made by any of the judging panels - drawn from each year’s award entries - and/or via the Creative Brisbane Collab. Board’s assessment of any individual’s or organisation’s contribution to Brisbane’s creative sector. The award winner shall be determined by the Collab. Board of Directors.
