The Awards
1. Best philanthropic or fundraising collaboration
This award recognises collaborations between a philanthropic or fundraising individual or organisation and one or more creatives that resulted in a beneficial outcome for any of the broader community, the city/region, the creative/s and/or the philanthropic partner/s. As examples only, beneficial outcomes could include a physical work (visual or performance art), improved career pathway/opportunities for the creative, strategic or business planning to benefit the creative, or contributions to environmentally sustainable practice. Judges will look for collaborations that demonstrate philanthropy in action, ie a tangible outcome.
2. Most innovative collaboration
This award recognises innovative collaborations between an individual or organisation (including universities) and one or more creatives that resulted in a beneficial outcome for any of the broader community, the city/region, the creative/s and/or collaboration partner/s. As examples only, innovation (ie a new idea or method, or the use of new ideas and methods) may include the use of technology, multi-media platforms, processes and/or contributions to environmentally sustainable practice. Judges will look for collaborations where innovation is a clearly identified element of success.
3. Best strategic collaboration
This award recognises strategic collaborations between an individual or organisation and one or more creatives that resulted in a beneficial outcome for any of the broader community, the city/region, the creative/s and/or collaboration partner/s. Judges will look for evidence of the development and implementation of strategic activity (planning and processes) that contribute to commercial and/or professional/practice sustainability for the creative/s and will consider collaborations from across the creative spectrum, including but not limited to visual and performance art, research and design.
4. Best urban or public art/activity collaboration
This award recognises public art or activity collaborations between an individual or organisation and one or more creatives that resulted in a beneficial outcome for the broader community or the city/region. Judges will look for collaborations where art contributes to an improved urban/city experience for the community, including contributions to environmentally sustainability practice. Purely commercial commissions are eligible to enter this award.
5. Best news and/or social media and creative collaboration
This award recognises collaborations between a media organisation or individual - including news reporting, marketing, advertising and/or public relations campaigns - and one or more creatives that resulted in a beneficial outcome for any of the broader community, the city/region and/or the creative/s. Judges will look for collaborations where the use of traditional news media (print, broadcast and digital) and/or social media raises the profile of art and creativity in the broader community. Estimates of earned media value would be welcome. Eligible entries may include sponsorships, partnerships and/or purely commercial transactions.
6. Best art in the workplace collaboration
This award recognises collaborations between an organisation and one or more creatives that occurred within the organisation’s workplace/space and resulted in a beneficial outcome for the organisation’s staff and visitors. Judges will consider collaborations that utilise visual and/or performance art to improve workplace culture and experience. Purely commercial commissions are eligible to enter this award.
7. Best First Nations and industry collaboration
This award recognises collaborations between an individual or organisation and one or more First Nations creatives that resulted in a beneficial outcome for any of the broader community, the city/region, the creative/s and/or the collaboration partner/s. Judges will look for collaborations that are First Nations-led and contribute to increasing awareness through sharing and celebrating First Nations stories and culture. Purely commercial commissions are eligible to enter this award.
For this award, the collaboration must include at least one Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander creative (individual or majority-controlled organisation) - to be confirmed in the award entry.
8. Best industry collaboration with people with disability or who are d/Deaf
This award recognises collaborations between an individual or organisation and one or more creatives with disability or who are d/Deaf that resulted in a beneficial outcome for any of the broader community, the city/region, the creative/s and/or the collaboration partner/s. Judges will consider visual and performance art activities and will look for collaborations that are led by creatives with disability or who are d/Deaf, and that enable improved career pathways for the creative/s and/or promote the disability arts community. Purely commercial commissions are eligible to enter this award.
9. Best collaboration with creative youth
This award recognises collaborations between an individual or organisation (including school, TAFE or university) and one or more creatives aged <25 that resulted in a beneficial outcome for any of the broader community, the city/region, the creative/s and/or the collaboration partner/s. Judges will look for collaborations that are youth-led and support future career pathways and/or further education pathways for the creative/s.
